I think I’m back…
Hey everybody! I just wanted to let you know I’m back not knowing what I should post. Our vacation wasn’t what it should have been, but I had a great time even after I hurt my foot and had to walk a very strange walk.
Now I think I’m back, just a bit because it’s hard to start writing again after being absent for some time. So, I just wanted to share some encaustic art I’m experimenting with. Please feel free to comment and get me back into the mood of writing and encausting…
Erica!! Hi!!! Love this piece, I can feel the textures by looking at it. It draws you in also.
How is the foot?
Thanks a lot Tanyeno!!! But do you think it’s finished like this or should I put more colour in it?
My foot is doing better now, thanks! Since yesterday I could even bend my big toe again… It hurts a bit while bending, but it’s a step forward and I can walk like a normal human being. Hahahaha!!!
OMG did you break or sprain it? Wow, did you fall? Wow, take it easy…
I think this painting is finished. I think if you do anything more it may take away from it. The sort of unfinished areas are part of the allure. It makes you do further investigation. 🙂 I love it.
Far as the foot, just go slow… o_0
A chair fell on foot while cleaning the house. I really hate cleaning, dusting and vacuming! Now even more… 😉 At first it was all white and then I put some ice on it and it appeared being open after a while. But now everything has nearly healed and now my back hurts so I can’t fitness…
This summer holiday wasn’t good as well… Too bad, but next year will be the best summer.
Thanks a lot for commenting on my painting and I will leave it as it is… Thanks! X
I’m glad you’re LEAVING it as it is Erica! 🙂 I like it so much, as is.
Anyway, heavy chair! Glad it’s healed, oh no, now your back.
Well maybe you are supposed to take a break on the fitness for a moment. This is gonna sound weird, but sometimes things happen for a reason? There might be something else to really attend to? Yes, next summer.
A better time!
xo
No, Tanyeno, it doesn’t sound weird. I too believe things happen for a reason… What reason, I don’t know, but maybe I will find out soon. 😉
I already a two week break from the fitness and wanted to start again today… Wednesday I’m going to ask what I should do.
How are you doing? It’s been a long time since we last spoke. Hope everything’s well
X
Well you may want to get still and really think about life as is. Sometimes we are not wanting to look, because two weeks is a long time, it is. Probably, the quicker you find out and can deal with the issue, the quicker you will heal. I bet. Good luck!
I am okay, losing my friend makes me sad and now angrier and angrier and angrier (as this is someone I felt was my brother, just without blood). Really, really liked Shane. We had become friends off WP.
But I decided the best way to deal with this, is how he’s dealt with grief in the past (he threw himself in to reading alot). Trying to throw myself into film writing, and development as well as the blogging and fitness.
Just EVERYTHING. But it seeps in between the cracks at times and slams into me. 😦
In time I suspect, my memories without sadness…
Thanks for *asking.* How is marketing yourself coming along? =)
Can I ask how Shane died? I’m sorry to hear you lost your ‘brother’. I know the feeling when you lose someone you feel related to like family… I bet he keeps an eye or two on you! 😉
How’s the writing going?
Marketing myself is still something I have some trouble doing… I hope one day the right person sees my work and can help me out.
You always will have those great memories, that’s one thing no one can take away!
XO
Heart issue. Thank-you Erica. Sorry, your post got buried.
Hope he keeps an eye out. 🙂
Writing is going great…thank-you!!!
I hope one day the right person sees your work and helps you out too!!! Yes, I have lovely memories of Shane, that is very, very true!!! [Sad smile]

That piece is a mystery. Welcome home.
I’ve been home some time already due to motorbike troubles… So our holiday wasn’t what it was supposed to be, but I enjoyed the sun a lot!
Thanks for your nice comment about my piece… 😉
Motorcycles are notoriously fickle creatures, especially old Harleys.
Yes Ron, they are… But we will get them both fixed and hoping we can ride again this summer… 😉
Nice to have you back. Great piece. Sorry to hear about your foot and back 😦
Thanks Tim!!!
This summer wasn’t the right one for me and Frank. We had a lot of motorbike troubles, so we couldn’t go anywhere on our bikes… Too bad! I hope next year will be a better one 😉
Glad to see you back! I’m sorry for your little mishap. Hope you will feel better soon. I like this piece. I’m sure you’re inspiration will come back with beautiful encaustic art with your name on it. Always think positive and be optimistic. Things will get back in order, I’m sure of it. Again glad to see you back!
Nice to see you too!!!
I stay optimistic and enjoyed a lot of sunshine although our holiday didn’t turn out to be the one we had in mind.
Today I started a new piece, I will show it when it’s ready. Now I have to sort a lot of mail I have to deliver tomorrow…
I’ll be back soon! X
I like it! It reminds me of a face and chest…like a Bust (sculpture). Sorry to hear about the cleaning incident. Maybe this means you should not clean? 🙂 Heal up soon!
You’re absolutely right, Kimberly! I shouldn’t clean, but there’s no one else doing it for me and sometimes I really have to clean the house (mostly only the groundfloor 😉 )
Thank you for liking this piece. It actually is me in it… 😉
Nice job!
Thanks! 😉

Beautiful. Small pallete, precise strokes ¡and a cameo! 🙂
Cheers,
Rafael
Thanks, Rafael!
😉
I think I would call this one “Fire Woman”. The dark silhouette of a face with the flaming hair that consumers her. Beautiful work! (Just my thoughts.) Glad to have you back 🙂 Sorry to hear about your foot.
Hi Wayne!
Nice title ‘Fire Woman’. Thanks for sharing your thoughts! 😉
My foot is getting better every day…
Hey Erica!
I was away much of the same time you were. Glad you’re back. And, of course, sorry to hear about your physical pains. Glad things are getting better .I would love to tell you to just ‘stop cleaning’ — however, I tried that and the results were not pretty 😉 PEACE-
Hahaha!!! 😉
Well, now I’m painting the house… It’s nearly finished. Two weeks of good weather makes me paint. I don’t like doing it, but it saves us a lot of money.
All the woodwork is black now and looks real great.
